The Carol model was born in the 80s as an exclusive design promoted by supermodel Carol Alt, who appeared on over 500 covers including Vogue, Elle, and Sports Illustrated. Persol's partnership with Alt marked the first time a style from the brand became so closely associated with a single person, surpassing even the bond between the Persol 714 and Steve McQueen.
